{funkytime} Decoupaged Pumpkins

As you know today is crafty Friday and it will be mandatorily dedicated to Halloween. We have already shown you a wonderful Painted Pumpkins tutorial as this year’s alternative to the carved pumpkin. I do love alternatives because carving a pumpkin is one of my least favorite things to do {shall we say even: nightmarish!} and these look so modern and chic, don’t you think?
So today we've got an equally beautiful and simple to make substitute: Découpaged Pumpkins.
Here’s a the 'how-to' of these stunning ‘eye-popping’ découpaged pumpkins – bound to be the talk of the neighborhood {not just great for Halloween, this is an all-round décor idea for a centerpiece or seasonal wedding reception prop}. Sibylle from Funkytime has provided us this amazing tutorial and here are her photos and technique:

*as an alternative to Mod Podge you can use white craft glue

1. Paint your pumpkin and let dry.
2. Cut out the shape you like from the napkin. My napkin had 3 layers, I only took the one, that had the print on it.
3. Brush a layer of mod podge on the pumpkin.
4. Press the napkin on to the pumpkin and seal with another layer of mod podge.
5. Sprinkle a little glitter here and there.
6. Let dry.
*Optional: Spray with sealer.

Now that you know how to make them here are other examples to feast your eyes on {and get inspired}!
