{Tutorial} Cardboard Xmas Star

Well, there is always a little time for a Christmas Star… and would you believe it, this one is only made from cardboard?
So let’s keep your empty box of cereal and get ‘making’!

Method
one:: Get your cardboard {box of cereal} or paper and open it fully.
two:: Draw a five-point star and cut.
three:: Score your star 5 times. Once for each point. Start at the point and score directly across to the center between the two bottom points. Rotate star and score again until each point has been scored.
four:: Fold each scored line and crease firmly.

five:: Spray paint to the colour of your choice {apply a darker colour to the edges for a distressed look}.

...

You can even make two stars and glue them together for a 3D effect.

The great thing about this crafty make is that, it looks so great you don’t have to display it only at Christmas, this can be a perfect all-year-‘round feature of gorgeousness, don't you think?!

  1. Love the star tutorial :)I'll make them with my girls. Keeping the kids involved is win win combo in pre holiday craftsmanship. I love when the family is focused and bringing something together. Nice tutorial and great ornament idea :) Thank you and happy holidays.
